Privacy policy

At Audioask, protecting your personal data is a priority. This document describes what data we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.

2. Data collected

Account data

When you create an account via Auth0, we collect:

Your email address
Your name (if provided)
Authentication information managed by Auth0

Service usage data

When you use Audioask, we collect:

Audio files or podcast links submitted for transcription
Transcriptions generated and the prompts you write
AI analysis results
Your credit usage history
Technical usage logs (date, time, actions performed)

Billing data

Payment data is processed directly by our provider Paddle (see section 5). We do not store your bank details or credit card numbers.

3. Purposes of processing

Your data is used for the following purposes:

Service delivery: audio transcription, AI analysis, podcast automation, bookmarks, and automation management.
Account management: authentication, service communications, customer support.
Billing and subscription management: via our partner Paddle.
Service improvement: aggregated and anonymized usage analysis to improve features.
Legal obligations: retention of data required by applicable law.

We do not sell your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising purposes. Some of these purposes involve carefully selected technical providers bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR and the Swiss LPD.

4. Retention periods

Account data (email, name): for the duration of your subscription, then 2 years after account closure.
Transcriptions, prompts, and results: for the duration of your active subscription, deleted on request or upon account closure.
Technical logs: 90 rolling days.
Billing data: in accordance with applicable legal and accounting obligations (generally 10 years under Swiss law).

After these periods, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.

5. Cookies

Audioask uses only strictly necessary cookies:

Auth0 session cookies: maintaining your login session.
Functional cookies: remembering your interface preferences.

We use no advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or tracking pixels. No data is shared with advertising networks.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (LPD), you have the following rights:

Right of access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data.
Right to portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object: object to certain processing of your data.
Right to restriction: request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise these rights, contact us via /en/contact. We will respond within 30 days.

If you believe that the processing of your data is not in compliance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

7. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or disclosure. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Applicable law and jurisdiction

This privacy policy is governed by Swiss law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection (LPD) and its implementing ordinance (OLPD).

Any dispute relating to the protection of your personal data will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland.

9. Changes to this policy

Natives Sàrl reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. In the event of a material change, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notification.
